Lingerie Football League UK is a new organisation, playing football and fighting for gender equality. At Lingerie Football League we pride ourselves on being role models for the younger generation, we are strong and fit, not soft and weak and we have real passion for football. We train properly and we are extremely ambitious, dedicated women who play good football.
We believe that the beautiful game needs to face up to the ugly inequality of the huge gender wage gap. Women train as hard as men, women are as dedicated to the beautiful game as men so women should enjoy the same rewards.
Lingerie Football League plan to bring about a football revolution in the United Kingdom, by playing in lingerie. We will increase public interest in women's football so that women's teams can play to packed stadiums, just like the elite men's football teams.
The press coverage we have had in just over 8 weeks has been phenomenal. We have received national newspaper coverage in The Mirror, The Sun, Daily Mail and Daily Star and online in Huffington Post as well as dozens of other publications all over the world. In January 2016 we appeared on BBC news and Victoria Derbyshire Show on BBC 2. We are taking part in a television documentary about women's football produced by an independent filmmaker as well as filming a documentary with BBC 3 entirely about Lingerie Football League and 'Shimmy Lingerie Video Project'. Our YouTube channel received over 200,000 views in the last 2 months.
The Shimmy Lingerie Video Project is building the largest collection of lingerie & swimwear catwalk videos in Europe in support of the Lingerie Football League and to further promote our fight for gender equality!
p.s We're on a chat show as guests on the 'sofa', Good Friday 25 March 2016, stay tuned...
