Race for Life Pretty Muddy is a brilliant 5k muddy obstacle course where you can show cancer that hell hath no fury like a woman in pink. On Saturday 7th May 2016, 12:30pm at Warrington, Victoria Park, armed in pink the Lingerie Football League ladies took on the Pretty Muddy challenge…in scorching 24 degrees heat! Yes, you read that correctly, 24 degrees heat in Warrington (The North!).
Every hour, more than four people are diagnosed with cancer in the North West. The word cancer, to me, is one of the scariest words in the English language. Sadly, I can’t think of anyone that I personally know that the devastating disease hasn’t impact upon their lives. Wether it be personal, family, friends or coworkers, cancer is a disease that affects us all. Do you know someone with cancer? Chances are, you do. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 12.7 million people find out each year around the world that they have cancer.
What I love about Race for Life events is that they are not competitive. They are not about being the fittest or fastest. Any women can complete the Pretty Muddy course at their own pace, climbing, jumping, walking, laughing or dancing their way around…Terri’s 69 year old grandma completed the course! What Pretty Mudder is about is an army of women coming together in the fight against cancer. Together we can fight against cancer!
